Sean Hannity is a Fox News Host and outspoken Trump ally who has repeatedly denied the idea of collusion between Trump and Russia-linked operatives and criticized the special counsel investigation.
Despite these denials, Hannity has links to numerous players in the Russia story. He interviewed WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in January 2017, during which the two agreed “that the media colluded with Hillary Clinton throughout the 2016 presidential election.” One year later, a Twitter user claimed that she created an account using Hannity’s name on Twitter, after which she received a direct message from Assange. Assange reportedly wanted to share “some news about Warner” (reportedly Senator Mark Warner) with Hannity. Hannity’s website is also popular with Kremlin-linked trolls; it is reportedly one of the top websites shared by these twitter accounts, which are known for tweeting out “dozens of articles from Fox News and far-right outlets aimed at undermining the credibility of the FBI, the Department of Justice, and the so-called deep state.” In April 2018, it was revealed that Hannity was also a client of personal Trump lawyer Michael Cohen.
